Additionally, we meticulously tailor each shirt to account for shrinkage, aiming for the shirt’s dimensions to align with your ordered specifications, plus standard allowances, after 1-2 washes. Following our care instructions guarantees that your shirt consistently fits you as expected, alongside your other shirts.

In total, we provide six sets of care instructions for different shirt types: Dress Shirts, Non-Iron Shirts, Casual Shirts, Knit Shirts, Performance Shirts, and Dry Clean Shirts.

Dress Shirt Care Instructions

Your dress shirt tag will indicate: “Machine Wash, Non-Chlorine Bleach, Hang Dry, Iron.”

  1. Prepare the dress shirt by unbuttoning all buttons, including cuff and collar buttons. Remove and store any collar stays safely.
  2. Treat stains by gently working detergent into them or spot-cleaning with a stain remover pen.
  3. Set up your washing machine: Use the Delicate cycle for fine or lightweight dress shirts; for heavier fabrics or particularly soiled shirts, opt for the Normal cycle. Whites can be washed in warm or hot water, while colored shirts should use cold water to prevent fading. Avoid mixing with laundry items that may bleed colors onto your shirts.
  4. Use a high-quality detergent suitable for the shirt’s color. Avoid chlorine-based detergents or bleaches to prevent discoloration.
  5. After washing, promptly remove the shirts from the machine to prevent wrinkles from setting in.
  6. Shake the shirts lightly to remove wrinkles, then hang them on hangers to air dry. Fasten only the top button while hanging. Standard wire hangers are suitable; avoid tight clothespins.
  7. Iron the shirts once they are mostly dry. Reinsert collar stays if desired and ensure the collar is in a proper position.

Casual Shirt Care Instructions

Your casual shirt tag will indicate: “Machine Wash, Non-Chlorine Bleach, Hang Dry.”

  1. Prepare the casual shirt by unbuttoning all buttons, including cuff and collar buttons. Remove and store any collar stays safely.
  2. Treat stains as needed by applying detergent or using a stain remover pen.
  3. Set up your washing machine: Use the Delicate cycle for fine or lightweight shirts; for heavier or soiled shirts, opt for the Normal cycle. Use warm water for whites, cold water for colored shirts to prevent fading. Wash similar colors together to avoid bleeding.
  4. Use an appropriate detergent for the shirt’s color and avoid chlorine-based detergents or bleaches.
  5. After washing, promptly remove the shirts to prevent wrinkles from setting in.
  6. Shake the shirts to remove wrinkles and hang them on hangers for air drying. Button the top button and smooth out wrinkles and folds as needed.
  7. After drying, the shirts are ready to wear. Small wrinkles may disappear when worn. Store casual shirts hanging on hangers or fold them lightly and stack.

Knit Shirt Care Instructions

Your knit shirt tag will indicate: “Machine Wash, Non-Chlorine Bleach, Machine Dry Low.”

  1. Prepare the knit shirt by unbuttoning all buttons, including cuff and collar buttons. Remove and store any collar stays safely.
  2. Treat stains as needed by applying detergent or using a stain remover pen.
  3. Set up your washing machine: Use the delicate cycle. Use warm water for whites and very light colors, and cold water for darker-colored shirts. Wash similar colors together to prevent bleeding.
  4. Use an appropriate detergent for the shirt’s material and color. Avoid chlorine-based detergents or bleaches.
  5. After washing, promptly remove the shirts from the machine. Shake them to remove major wrinkles and fold them carefully.
  6. If necessary, use a light iron to further smooth out wrinkles. Button the top button and leave the collar in a proper position.
  7. Store knit shirts folded and stacked to prevent elongation. Avoid hanging, as this may cause sleeves and the body to stretch over time.

Non-Iron Shirt Care Instructions

Your non-iron shirt tag will indicate: “Machine Wash, Non-Chlorine Bleach, Machine Dry.”

  1. Prepare the non-iron shirt by unbuttoning all buttons, including cuff and collar buttons. Remove and store any collar stays safely.
  2. Treat stains as needed by applying detergent or using a stain remover pen.
  3. Set up your washing machine: Use the Delicate cycle for lightweight non-iron shirts and the Normal cycle for heavier or soiled shirts. Use warm water for whites and cold water for colored shirts to prevent fading. Wash similar colors together.
  4. Use an appropriate detergent for the shirt’s color and avoid chlorine-based detergents or bleaches.
  5. After washing, promptly remove the shirts from the machine. Shake them to help the fabrics regain their natural smooth shape and hang them on hangers. Reinsert collar stays if desired.
  6. Store non-iron shirts hanging on shirt hangers.

Performance Shirt Care Instructions

Your performance shirt tag will indicate: “Machine Wash, Non-Chlorine Bleach, Machine Dry, No Iron.”

  1. Prepare the performance shirt by unbuttoning all buttons, including cuff and collar buttons. Remove and store any collar stays safely.
  2. Treat stains as needed by applying detergent or using a stain remover pen.
  3. Set up your washing machine: Use the Delicate cycle for fine performance shirts and the Normal cycle for heavier or soiled shirts. Use warm water for white performance shirts and cold water for colored ones.
  6. Store performance shirts folded and stacked to prevent elongation. Do not attempt to iron or steam them, as high heat may damage the materials.

Professional Dry Clean Care Instructions

If your shirt tag indicates “Professionally Dry Clean,” this care method is recommended for shirts made from exceptionally delicate or rare materials that are sensitive to heat or should not be exposed to water. In some cases, we may recommend this care method for knit shirts with a high risk of shrinkage if washed with water.

By following these care instructions, you can ensure that your shirts maintain their quality and longevity, allowing you to enjoy them for years to come.
